Capital goes flipping crazy for Pancake Day

PASTRY chef Chris Stewart gives four-year-old Victoria Stewart, no relation, a helping hand to toss her pancake at an event at the Caledonian Hilton hotel held yesterday.

The chef held a pancake-making session in the hotel's Chisholm's Restaurant for families and children as the city marked Shrove Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a pancake breakfast was linked to a fair trade talk held at Henderson's at St John's on Princes Street.

Jenipher Wetaka, a Ugandan coffee farmer, spoke about how fair trade had affected her life, while guests were treated to pancakes and refreshments.
