Capital firm wins award for global trade achievements

A CAPITAL company has been awarded a prestigious award for global exports for outstanding achievements in international trade.

Haskoning UK Ltd, based at Bernard Street, has almost doubled the turnover generated from overseas trade in the last three years.

This achievement led a judging panel, which included the Prime Minister, to honour the engineering specialists with the Queen's Award for Enterprise. The Enterprise awards are made annually by HM The Queen, and are only given for the highest levels of excellence demonstrated in three categories; international trade, innovation and sustainable development.

Board of management director Henry Rowe said: "We've got an important role to play in helping developing countries achieve their potential. This award recognises Royal Haskoning's contribution to society."
