Cancer technology: Information is vital to carers

Information about the life expectancy of patients with advanced cancer is useful for the doctors caring for them, writes.

But it is also vital for families and carers.

In some cases, the patient may not want this level of detail about what is expected. However, their relatives want to try to anticipate what is coming next for their loved-one and plan their lives accordingly.

Any extra information that can be given to people with cancer and their families is welcome.
