Cancer shot reminder

Young women under the age of 20 in the Lothians have been urged to get a vaccination which guards against the main cause of cervical cancer.

Uptake in some groups of the HPV jab has been disappointing, with many not returning for the second or third follow-up inoculations.

The Evening News revealed yesterday how the uptake on cervical cancer smears was dropping, worsening the situation.
