Can we have our ball back please, lads?

FORMER pupils of Parsons Green Primary, including footballers past and present, returned to their old school to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Dave Bowman, John Robertson and Jackie McNamara stopped to have a kick-about with current pupils Ciaran Brian and Michael Barfoot during their visit to the school.

The current school on Meadowfield Drive was opened on March 28, 1961 after fire gutted the former building at Lillyhill Terrace in 1958.

An exhibition on Saturday morning displayed memorabilia and a 1960s-style tearoom service.

Past and present pupils and staff joined together on Monday at an assembly at the school.
