Camerons celebrate christening

David and Samantha Cameron's daughter Florence has been christened in front of family and friends.

The 45-minute ceremony took place at St Mary Abbots Church in Kensington, west London.

The church is just a short trip from the Prime Minister's residence in Downing Street.Around 90 guests attended the private event for the six-month-old yesterday afternoon.

Florence Rose Endellion was born during a family holiday last August, weighing 6lb 1oz. She had been due to be born in September but caught the family by surprise by arriving early.

Her middle name, Endellion, refers to the village of St Endellion on the Cornish coast, near where the family were staying.

The couple have two elder children, Nancy and four-year-old Arthur Elwen,

Mr and Mrs Cameron's other son, Ivan, who was disabled, died aged six in 2009.

The Camerons used a picture of themselves with their new baby daughter on the front of their card at Christmas.
