Calls to back Roma rights
SNP Lothians MSP Ian McKee has tabled a motion at Holyrood backing Roma rights.
It highlights a recent European Parliament resolution criticising the French Government's policy of deporting Roma families and demolishing their encampments.
It goes on to call on the European Commission to introduce tougher legislation to protect Roma communities.
Several MSPs have already given their backing to Dr McKee's motion.
