Call goes out for Race for Life runners

THOUSANDS of women are expected to sign up for a major charity event which aims to raise half a million pounds for the fight against cancer.

Entries opened today for the Race for Life, which takes place in Holyrood Park, and last year saw 5700 women raise £412,700 for Cancer Research UK.

Females of all ages are urged to sign up for either a five or ten-kilometre run on June 16.
