Call for local clubs to cash in on fund

COMMUNITY groups have until July 15 to apply for a share of a £5000 funding pot.

The community bursary programme run by Edinburgh-based Ross and Liddell aims to give financial support of up to 500 to clubs and organisations.

Irene Devenny, managing director at Ross and Liddell, is urging local groups to get involved.

She said: "Applications have been coming in thick and fast from a range of organisations throughout the country, and there is still time to apply.

"Ross and Liddell has always identified and provided support to clubs and voluntary organisations as part of its ongoing community engagement objectives. We want to hear from applicants about how the funding will allow them to continue to deliver work that has a true legacy and impact within their local community."
