Cakewalk for food chain

BUSINESS is booming at a cake chain after it opened its second cafe in the Capital in the space of a fortnight.

Patisserie Valerie opened its Rose Street branch on Friday, two weeks after it started trading in North Bridge.

Chief executive officer Paul May said: “Edinburgh is a city that is perfectly suited to the kinds of product we offer, and that is why we decided to open a second store in quick succession, to allow everybody the chance to experience our cakes and patisseries and continue to drive brand awareness.”
