Cafe hails licence win

A CAFE in the Old Town has won the right to allow customers to drink outside.

Osman Celik has been granted permission to extend the licence of his cafe on St Mary's Street to include the outside area that has been newly created.

Alistair Macdonald, who represented Mr Celik at a meeting of the city's licensing board, said: "There are three flats above. One is owned by Mr Celik and the other two residents have said that they have no objections whatsoever.

"It is a credit (to the area], the residents are happy and there is no reason to think that residents in the future will not be happy."
