Cabbie scarred for life in row

A TAXI driver was scarred for life after he was beaten up by a customer in a row over a fare.

Edinburgh Sheriff Court heard yesterday that Alan Gunn picked up Nathan Mackay, 22, and Rebecca French.

Mackay and Mr Gunn rowed over a 10.50 fare and Mackay attacked Mr Gunn.

Mackay, of Sinclair Place, admitted to the 26 July 2009 assault. A not guilty plea by French, 21, of the same address, was accepted. Sheriff Derrick McIntyre deferred sentence until next month.
