Businessman on murder charge

A BUSINESSMAN has been charged with shooting dead a man in his mansion.

Arran Coghlan, 39, is accused of murdering Stephen Akinyemi in his 2 million home in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.

Mr Akinyemi, 44, of Cheetham Hill, Manchester, was discovered by police in the bathroom of Coghlan's mansion on Tuesday.

Police said Coghlan, who had been injured in the incident but discharged from hospital, would appear in court next week.

A post-mortem examination showed Mr Akinyemi died from being shot in the head and had also suffered stab injuries.
