Bus services reach the end of the road

A NUMBER of bus services from Midlothian and East Lothian to the Capital have been withdrawn.

Yesterday, First Bus axed the 138 service from Wallyford to Kinnaird Park, the 122 route from Dunbar to East Fortune Market, the 7N Edinburgh to Polton service, and the 77 route from Polton in Midlothian to Haymarket.

A new 79 service has been introduced to replace the 77 - running from Rosewell to Haymarket, via the Royal Infirmary.

The X29 from Seton Sands to Pennywell has been withdrawn outside peak hours, but will be extended to serve the new Telford College campus. The X12 Elphinstone-to-Edinburgh terminus has moved to Pencaitland and is now the X13. The 44D from the Capital to Dunbar is now the number 6.
