Bus firm raises £1k for charity at awards
Employees congregated in The Hub at Castlehill for the presentation of 11 awards.
The firm raised £1060 for children’s charity The Place2Be – a UK-wide school-based counselling service – which can be found in ten Edinburgh primary schools.
Ian Craig, managing director of Lothian Buses, said: “This year’s awards night gave us the opportunity to pay tribute and thank our team members for all their hard work.
“Congratulations to everyone who received an award and thanks to everyone who attended.”
Driver Joseph McCabe earned the title of Employee of the Year, which is awarded following a selection process by company directors.
The Driver of the Year award was presented to Steven McLeod, who was judged on his annual performance, attitude and time keeping. Sean McGhee was named Young Apprentice of the Year, and Peter McLeod took the title of Mature Apprentice. Edinburgh’s Favourite Bus Driver was named as Daron Webber.
