Burst of warm weather on its way

MUCH of Britain is expected to be graced with an unusual spell of sunshine later this week, forecasters predict.

Sun worshippers seeking autumn rays will enjoy unseasonably warm temperatures with the mercury set to peak at 22C tomorrow. In Scotland, forecasters are expecting temperatures to reach 16C, while people in the north-east of England and Yorkshire will enjoy a respite from downpours.

The unseasonably warm weather should continue into Saturday, forecasters MeteoGroup said.
