Burns Supper on menu for St Columba's

ST Columba's Hospice will host its annual fundraising Burns Supper at the Corn Exchange on January 21.

The hospice is inviting guests to an evening of music, games and a ceilidh. Speakers include Rod McCowan, James McSween and Duncan McCooll.

The hospice is currently raising cash for a major redevelopment at its site in Granton.

Later this year, hospice patients and staff will transfer to a temporary home at Kirklands House in Gogarbank as work gets under way on the main rebuild. Inpatient wards will be completely rebuilt, with a new day hospice, consulting rooms and a revamped garden.

Last year, the Evening News and its readers helped boost the project by raising more than 235,000 for the hospice's Buy a Brick appeal.
