Burning pan causes flat fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a flat in the Capital when a fire alarm went off yesterday evening.

Crews were alerted to the blaze in Argyle Park Terrace at around 9:45pm. They discovered a pan of food alight at the flat, which was extinguished.

A man suffering from smoke inhalation was treated by paramedics at the scene.
