Burglar to face 'brain-damage' test

WALID Salem, allegedly brain-damaged after being beaten by a businessman who found him burgling his home, is to face a court hearing to decide if he is fit to plead to a fraud charge.

A judge at Northampton said prosecutors had accepted too easily that Salem was unfit to plead due to the injuries inflicted by Munir Hussain and his brother Tokeer.
