Bullied red-head has last laugh

A TEENAGER bullied at school about her red hair has reached the semi-finals of a top modelling competition.

Steffanie Shepherd, 18, used to come home from class in tears because children would call her "ginger" and "goofy". But now she's had the last laugh and made it into the final stages of the Miss Teen Queen UK competition.

Ms Shepherd, from Gordoun in Angus, said: "Those guys made my life hell. I dreaded going to school. But now I look totally different and some of the boys who used to bully me have asked me out."

The public now have the chance to vote her into the final.
