Building on Capital’s skills

The launch of a major British Council project designed to make a far-reaching contribution to architecture in the UK will take place in Edinburgh next week.

The Venice Takeaway project will see teams of architects, students, writers, critics and academics put forward their ideas to change British architecture, with ten entries winning the chance to exhibit their ideas at the British Pavilion of this year’s 13th Venice Architecture Biennale.

The research will focus on what and who makes great architecture.
