Brown breaks the ground at new primary

SKILLS and Lifelong Learning Minister Keith Brown was set to break the ground for a new primary school in West Lothian today.

The new Pumpherston and Uphall Station Primary School is the first from the 1.25 billion Scotland's Schools for the Future programme to get under way.

The event comes as new figures on the condition of school buildings reveal a total of 303 schools have been substantially rebuilt or refurbished since April 2007.
