HOMES in the Capital were among more than 20,000 across the country affected by a phone exchange fault which caused broadband disruption last night.
BT said customers in parts of Scotland and northern England had been hit following a power cut.
Engineers were sent to resolve the problem which the company said hit an exchange covering the Edinburgh area.
