Britain's Got Talent rejects aim to work with The Wolfmen

THEY left music mogul Simon Cowell speechless for all the wrong reasons after their audition on Britain's Got Talent.

But, just six months after the surprise release of their first single, Othelio's stock appears to be on the rise.

The duo have announced they are set to work with former member of iconic band Adam and The Ants, Marco Pirroni, who is now part of another rock band - The Wolfmen.

Craig, 41, and Debborah Stephens, 46, who are also known by their stage names Zedd and Saffire, have been in talks with the band about doing a remix of a track for a future Wolfmen album.

The couple, who live in Portobello, have even penned a rap that they hope the group will consider including.

Craig said: "The rap is about us celebrating with The Wolfmen and showing that Othelio is alive and well."

Marco and Chris Constantinou formed The Wolfmen in 2005. Chris performed with Adam Ant from around 1983 to 1985 after Adam and The Ants split up.

Working with them would be a dream come true for Craig, who was a massive Adam and The Ants fan as a child.

He said: "I used to dress up as Adam Ant and impersonate him."

Craig contacted The Wolfmen prior to Othelio's audition on Britain's Got Talent.

"When we were going on Britain's Got Talent I e-mailed The Wolfmen to let them know, and they came back to us and said they enjoyed what they watched," he said.

"They said we were very flamboyant and that they liked the rap we did on the show."

Part of the rap lyrics that the couple have already penned in the hope that the band will consider including them on a future album include: "Othelio are rocking it with The Wolfmen, get wild like a wolf and start to scowl, when the moon is full, you'll be bitten and howl".

Marco, who lives in London, said: "We are considering some form of collaboration with Othelio in future."

Craig and Debborah, who are married and have two children, have applied for the X Factor and will find out next month if they have secured an audition.

"If Wagner can get through these things, then so can we," said Craig.

Othelio released their first single, Head Confused, which is about their time on Britain's Got Talent, last summer.
