Bridge shut for utilities

Bathgate Water Bridge is set to close this weekend to allow utility diversion work to be completed.

The closure of the stretch of Glasgow Road will run from 6pm on Friday until 6am on Monday to allow Scottish Water to carry out trench work for the replacement bridge. BT is on track to have cables removed by Friday.

A West Lothian Council spokesman said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
