Bridge bares all as painting reaches end

FOR the first time in more than a decade the Forth Bridge is completely free of scaffolding.

The stripping of its temporary furniture comes as painting on the world-famous structure comes to an end.

When the last drop of paint dries next month, Network Rail says the landmark will not have to undergo another facelift for 25 years.

The painting, a job they said “could never be finished”, cost £130 million and took ten years.
