Bridesmaid, 10, to buried in her outfit

A TEN-YEAR-OLD girl who collapsed and died just four days before she was due to be a bridesmaid is set to be buried in the outfit she never got to wear.

Kelsey Henderson had picked out her own purple dress, pink tiara and dressy shoes for her uncle Richard Barr's big day.

But in the run-up to the ceremony she picked up a sickness bug which she couldn't shake off.

Doctors now think it's a sign she was suffering from a more serious illness that had never been diagnosed. She collapsed and died at the family home in Dunfermline last week.

Yesterday her devastated mum Debbie Barr, 29, said: "Kelsey said she felt like a princess in her bridesmaid's dress. Now she can wear it all the time and feel special forever.

"All that had been on her mind was the wedding. She had talked about it non-stop and was counting down the days.

"So it's only right that we give her the chance to wear her outfit."

Kelsey, a pupil at Lynburn Primary, loved singing and being at the centre of attention.

"Everybody loved her and she managed to wrap everyone around her little finger."
