'Brazen' robbers hit busy McDonald's

Two armed men escaped with hundreds of pounds after an "absolutely brazen" robbery in front of customers at a McDonald's restaurant, police said.

The pair entered the Bellshill outlet at about 8:55pm on Wednesday and threatened staff with weapons before making off with a three-figure sum of cash. They left on foot along New Edinburgh Road.
