Boyzone to rock the House

IRISH pop superstars Boyzone are set to stage a huge open-air concert in the grounds of Hopetoun House this summer.

It is understood Ronan Keating's chart-toppers will perform a 12,000-capacity gig on the opening weekend of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, on Saturday, 6 August.

Inverness-based promoters CK Events signed an exclusivity deal for the venue last year after previously staging a concert by Westlife in the Highlands. They have already revealed plans for a 20,000-capacity concert by JLS at the Royal Highland Showground near Edinburgh Airport on 1 July.

Other outdoor shows being staged by the promoters include Simple Minds and Big Country in Inverness and Rod Stewart in Aberdeen.
