Boy held over 'disturbance'

A TEENAGE boy has been arrested and charged with minor assault in connection with a "disturbance" involving up to 15 youths.

The 16-year-old, from North Berwick, was detained by police following an incident in the town's Trainers Brae/Grange Road on Sunday at around 12:15am.

The teenager was also charged with a breach of the peace.

Meanwhile, a 16-year-old boy from North Berwick was charged in connection with an assault in Edinburgh Road, Penicuik, on Saturday evening.

A report is set to be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
