Boy and OAP struck by cars

A TEENAGE boy and elderly woman were taken to hospital after being knocked down yesterday afternoon.

The 13-year-old boy was hit by a Ford Fiesta on Slateford Road at around 4.30pm. He was taken to the Sick Kids Hospital.

An hour later, a pensioner, thought to be around 70 years old, was hit by a car on Calder Road. She suffered possible back injuries and was taken to the Royal Infirmary.
