Boy, 7, in Dundee hospital after being hit by car

A SEVEN-year-old boy is in hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car as he tried to cross the road in Dundee yesterday evening

Police were called to the scene in Helmsdale Avenue, Dundee, at around 5pm yesterday.

The child was taken to the city’s Ninewells Hospital where he is being treated for serious head and leg injuries.

The vehicle involved was a green Honda Civic which was travelling west.

Those in the car were not injured.

The road was closed while police carried out investigations. They appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
