Boy, 15, dies in 2am car crash

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy died when a car crashed into a wall after it was approached by police. Three other teenagers were injured in the collision.

Officers had walked up to the Peugeot car, which was stopped at a red light, to tell the driver his headlights were not on, at about 2am on Sunday.

The car was then driven off along Duntreath Avenue in Glasgow. Police said it appeared to go out of control before hitting a parked car and a wall.

A passenger, Ryan Bell, from Glasgow, died at the scene.

Two girls aged 14 and 15 were taken hospital, and both remain in a stable condition. The 17-year-old male driver suffered minor injuries.
