Bottle attack thug detained

A TEENAGER who smashed a bottle over his victim's head, leaving him scarred, was yesterday detained for 11 months.

Stephen Clark, 17, followed Stefan McKinsley, 19, to his supported accommodation after bumping into him at a fair and asking him for a fight.

After Mr McKinsley walked away Clark confronted him and took a bottle and smashed it across his victim's face.

Clark, of McNeill Terrace, Loanhead, admitted carrying out the assault in Loanhead, on June 26 this year. He also admitted breaching the peace the same day at parkland adjacent to Park Avenue, Loanhead.
