Botanics job up for grabs

THE Scottish Government is set to a appoint a new chair to the board of trustees for the Royal Botanic Garden.

The person appointed will lead the work of the visitor attraction, which has one of the world's most valuable scientific collections.

The unpaid position is for four years with a possibility of re-appointment for a further term. Botanics bosses have been considering introducing entrance fees in the face of government funding cuts.
