Booze taken from youths

ALCOHOL including bottles of Buckfast, vodka and beer were seized from under-age youths during a police patrol.

Officers carried out high- visibility patrols throughout Midlothian on Saturday night, targeting vandalism hotspots in areas of Bonnyrigg, Rosewell and Gorebridge as part of Operation Etiquette.

Off-sales and licensed premises were checked as part of the ongoing crackdown.

The patrol also arrested and charged a 33-year-old man, from Rosewell, with cannabis possession in Rosewell Public Park.
