POLICE have staged a crackdown on underage drinking in a Lothian town which saw a number of youths caught with alcohol.

Officers from the Community Action Team (Cat) carried out patrols in Musselburgh in East Lothian on Friday in a bid to curb antisocial behaviour in the town.

Alcohol was confiscated from two 17-year-old boys from Musselburgh, found to be in possession on Eskview Terrace.

The Cat also confiscated alcohol from a 16-year-old girl from Musselburgh on North High Street.
