Bookmaker targeted by armed robber

POLICE are investigating an armed robbery at a Glasgow bookmakers over the weekend.

The incident took place around 9pm, at the William Hill branch on Maryhill Road.

A man threatened staff with a suspected firearm before making off with a three-figure sum.

No-one was injured.
