Book night is a whole new story

Waterstone's bookshop at Cameron Toll is gearing up for the inaugural World Book Night.

The shop is due to give away more than 800 books as part of tonight's event, which will see a million free books given away to adult readers across the UK and Ireland.

Ms Goodyear chose Beloved by Toni Morrison to give away, while her colleague Xavier Jones-Barlow chose The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood. Fifteen customers were also selected to give away a book of their choice.
