Book chain picks novelist winners

A literary first XI of novelists tipped to dominate the bestseller lists and book prizes for years is to be unveiled.

Booksellers have whittled a shortlist of 100 writers whose debut novels are due out this year down to 11 whose will be named later this month by book store Waterstone's.
