Bomb squad called to incident in Dunoon

THE bomb squad and police have been called in to deal with an ongoing incident near a town centre.

Cordons have been put in place around the scene in the Castle Street area of Dunoon in Arygll and Bute.

Police said that inquiries are under way.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police officers in Dunoon are dealing with an ongoing incident in the Castle Street area.

“Cordons have been put in place to allow the incident to be managed.”
