Bomb scare flat searched by police

POLICE returned to a block of flats yesterday to carry out further investigations following a chemical scare attended by Army bomb disposal experts.

Officers carried out further searches of the fourth floor flat at Wester Drylaw Place. The searches followed an incident on Wednesday sparked by reports that a resident had been stockpiling a supply of potential dangerous chemicals in home. A 34-year-old man has appeared in court in connection with the incident.
