Body found near golf club

Strathclyde Police said the body was discovered at around 10:20am on Monday near Whitecraigs Golf Club, on the south side of Glasgow.

A local man, Charles Walker, known as Chic, has been missing for almost a month. However, police said it would be inappropriate to comment on the identity of the body during the investigation.

Mr Walker, 52, is 6ft 1in, stocky with short grey hair. When last seen he was wearing a blue zipped top.

A team of police divers have searched a pond in nearby Rouken Glen Park in an attempt to find him.

Mr Walker was last seen in Main Street, Thornliebank, near its junction with Kennishead Road on Monday 24 October.
