Body found in search confirmed as missing 20-year-old man

A body found in a woodland has been identified as a man who was reported missing.

The body, which has been identified as 20-year-old Isaac Corrie was found in woodland near the village of Twynholm, Kirkcudbright, in Dumfries and Galloway at about 4am on Friday morning.

The deceased’s family has been informed and officers believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding Isaac’s death.

A police spokesman said: “At about 4.05am on Friday, 19 February, officers searching for a missing man were informed of the discovery of the body in woodland near the village of Twynholm, Kirkcudbright.“He has been identified as Isaac Corrie (20) and his family have been informed.“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."Police Scotland would also like to extend thanks to the local community who assisted officers last night."
