Police identify quarry body
Police have identified the body found at the Torvean Quarry in Inverness as James Thomson Lawson Fernie.

Mr Fernie, 64, was previously a serving soldier with the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. He was originally from Stirling area and has family in Cornwall.

Police said last night: “There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding this death”.
