Body found in Fife woods identified as local soldier

A MAN found dead in woods in Fife last week has been identified as soldier Mehmet Ali Osman.

His body was found by a member of the public in a wooded area near Dulloch Park, Dunfermline, last Wednesday.

The 25 year old, from Lochgelly, had been Awol from his army regiment for more than two months.

Police said they are not treating his death as suspicious and have submitted a report to the procurator fiscal.
