Body found in Borders river may be missing gardener

A BODY recovered from a Borders river could be gardener Allan Graham – who has been missing for the past seven weeks.

The 26-year-old from Earlston in Berwickshire disappeared on Good Friday and despite a full-scale land and sea search there has been no trace of him since then.

He was last seen walking near the River Tweed in the Bemersyde area of the Borders on Friday, 2 April.

Lothian and Borders Police confirmed yesterday that a body had been recovered from the River Tweed at nearby St Boswells on Friday evening

But they said they were not yet in a position to confirm the identity until tests were carried out.

Yesterday girlfriend Catriona Biggar, 21 – who had been in a relationship with Mr Graham for a year – said she was aware of the discovery of a body from the river but declined to comment further at this stage.
