Blues bands battlers out to strike the right note

Three bands from the Capital have entered a nationwide hunt for new and unsigned blues talent.

Hot Tin Roof, The Blueswater and Main Street Blues have been accepted into the pre-heat stage of the competition and will be battling it out to take part in the Scottish heat of the New Brunswick Battle of the Blues next February.

The winning band – or solo performer – will be flown out to the world-renowned Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in Fredericton, Canada in September 2013.
