Black day as fraud appeal is rejected

The US Supreme Court has rejected an appeal from former media mogul Conrad Black challenging his two remaining convictions on fraud and obstruction of justice.

The court did not comment on the order. He is scheduled to be re-sentenced on 24 June.

Black's publishing empire once included the Daily Telegraph, the Chicago Sun-Times, and smaller papers across the US and Canada.
