Bikers mark branch's 90th

HUNDREDS of Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS) pipers and standard bearers, along with 125 bikers of the Legion's Riders Branch, marked the 90th anniversary of the organisation by parading at the Military Tattoo yesterday.

The RBLS was created from five ex-service associations in St Cuthbert's Church at Edinburgh's West End on June 21, 1921 under the leadership of Edinburgh-born Earl Haig.

All legion branches sprang from that meeting.
